With the natural sporting talent embedded into the culture of our school, we are proud to say that 2011 has been a successful Sporting year. With more than 50 teams on the sports field, court and pitch there has been an immense amount of work that has all been worth it by our coaches, managers and sports coordinators. Thank you to all staff members, ex-students and parents who have volunteered their time to helping facilitate sporting opportunities this year. A special thanks to Miss Joe who has developed an amazing sports system at our school and has taken well deserved leave to travel, we wish her all the best on her endeavours. Also thanks to FYFOD who have helped support our sporting desires in our school. Your funding has truly benefited the students of James Cook. Thank you to Mr Smith, Mr Brandon and the Board of Trustees who have also extended their support in making sport successful this year. 2012

We have started this year with an exciting new cricket pitch formed on our very own school field. Our Sports Department has a good feeling that this year will be another successful year in our sporting realm. We are looking forward to having as much sporting opportunity as we can from our students, staff and community.
